CI Sport continue to support Rock it til Sundown

With Steel Hawk Motorcycle Club’s annual running of their ‘Rock it til Sundown’ Summer MX Classic fast approaching on Wednesday 10th August at Cusses Gorse MX they are pleased to announce that CI Sport will once again be supporting as event partners. 

CI Sport will be offering up some seriously cool swag as prizes to the event for both the youth and adult racers. As one of the U.K largest and most recognisable importers, CI Sport will be backing the ‘Rock it til Sundown’ event with prizes from brands such as Alpinestars, Troy Lee Designs, Spy Goggles, Moto Master, Rekluse Clutches and DEP Pipes. Here’s what will be on offer; 

• Alpinestars – The top three Auto riders will all receive a full set of 2023 Alpinestars kit
• Troy Lee Designs – The top three in the 65cc class will win a Troy Lee Designs helmet to take home on the day
• Spy Goggles – Again the top three in the Small Wheeled 85cc class will win Spy goggles and accessories
• Moto Master – There will be discount vouchers on Moto Master products for the ‘Moto ‘Pass’ Master’ pass of the day in both the youth and adult racing
• Rekluse Clutches – Discount vouchers will be won for the holeshot in both races of the two Clubman classes
• DEP Pipes – ‘On the pipe’ charger award. The rider who makes the most passes in any race throughout the event will win a DEP pipe and silencer

Let’s face it, it’s been a pretty tough few years with all that’s gone on in the world and running events aren’t getting any easier. So to have the likes of the guys at CI Sport want to continue to support us means a lot to us. We’ve steadily built the event up, even through Covid and added our ‘Airborne Gunner Summer Supercross’ to it the day before, and it gives us the confidence to push on with growing the event further over the next few years. We have lot of plans for it, and now we’ve got a solid foundation and some great names in the industry backing us we can push on with confidence that we’re on the right track. We try to make sure the competitors at our events get rewarded for their efforts so to have some of the best brands in the industry working with us makes us proud of what we’re trying to achieve.”

It’s relaxed and is well run, and you get the sense that you’re there for the right reasons. A midweek race for youth and adults with a good atmosphere, a bit of music and, for the best part, people having fun racing without some of the pressures you get at national or championship races. That’s what it’s all about, really, and certainly what myself and my brothers remember from when we started way back. We have a good time every time we’ve been, and we’re happy to play our part and get behind the guys at Steel Hawk Motorcycle Club. We’re looking forward to it again.”
